What We Do

CyGames is a developer of serious games for cyber security education, to help educators and industry professionals alike to deliver immersive and engaging scenario driven cyber security education from the classroom to the boardroom. 

Our games are all modelled on national educational curriculum in cyber security at both the school and higher education level, as well as being modelled to leading industry standard frameworks such as the NIST Cyber Security framework 2.0, Lockhead Martin's Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK framework and importantly the Cyber Body of Knowledge (CyBOK).

 

It's this modelling and the immersive design features of our games that helps to provide an authentic game based learning experience that allows teachers and continuous personal development (CPD) leaders to deliver engaging, educational and immersive session. Whilst having faith that the tools they are using are rooted in recognised industry standards.

 

CyGames prides itself on the immersive scenario driven nature of its games, that often mirrors real world cyber operations. That allows learners to develop not just cyber awareness in areas such as incident response, risk management, cyber threat intelligence, cryptography and governance, regulation and compliance. But, also develop key personal and professional skills such as problem solving, asset and risk management,  and critical and strategic thinking.

Our Vision

Entry points into the cyber security sector are often perceived as being highly technical, and to many a this perception acts as a barrier. At CyGames our vision is to help break down those barriers by providing teachers and industry professionals with engaging and authentic game based learning experiences through physical games.

 

This unplugged approach to cyber security is designed to help broaden the gateway to the cyber security and wider IT sector for people of all ages and backgrounds. The diverse nature of roles the cyber sector today require not only highly skilled employees with strong technical skills such as programming, network and hardware engineering. But also, many roles where strong problem solving, project management, risk assessment and consultancy type skills are critical.

Our vision at CyGames is to not just help teachers develop the next generation of innovative problem solvers ready to tackle the problems of tomorrow. But also to help the IT/cyber sector tackle the skill gaps and shortages of today.

We are passionate about the benefits that scenario driven game based learning tools like our can have to help tackle these critical skill issues our sector faces.
